Reflections after the Workshop in Camerino

Ingemar Pongratz and Sofia Kuhn from Fenix Scientific AB / Pongratz Consulting participated in the Summer School on Nutrigenomics which was organized by Professor Rosita Gabbianelly from the University of Camerino. Here are some reflections after the workshop in Camerino

The workshop attracted well over 130 speakers and students and covered many different scientific areas and also included dedicated sessions for career development, Media Traning and Communication and also poster presentations from selected posters.

During the workshop Ingemar Pongratz and Sofia Kuhn took the opportunity to meet many student, post-docs and speakers and to establish new collaborations and network with top European Scientists.

During the workshop, Ingemar Pongratz made a presentation about the role of the AhR in human health and Sofia Kuhn made a presentation where Sofia highlighted the importance of Communication for research project such as Horizon 2020 EU funded research projects.

During her presentation Sofia Kuhn discussed some common misconception that are still to be found among journalists and above all among the scientific community and she presented some very practical examples of how different Communication strategies are used by Academic Researchers or by the media when presenting research finding and information.

During the discussions the key role for Communication in Horizon 2020 project ws also discussed and debated.
